Got a call this morning from an automated voice claiming cash had been taken from my bank and Amazon accounts. The number showed up with a local dialling code, which makes it worse. I don’t understand why these dodgy numbers aren’t being looked into properly. It’s really worrying because people who are more vulnerable could be seriously hurt by these scams. Honestly, it’s infuriating that nothing’s done to block these calls. I thought the telephone preference service was meant to help with this stuff? Seems like it’s not working anymore.
