I received a call from this number this evening, and they inquired for someone at my address by name, which is rather dodgy since we're ex-directory. When I pressed them for their identity, they promptly ended the call. I generally don’t entertain unsolicited calls, but the fact that they had my name is particularly concerning!

I received a call from a number that's quite familiar to our area, so I decided to pick up. The caller claimed to be representing an energy firm, but as I mentioned that we are registered with the Telephone Preference Service and that her call was not permitted, she just continued talking right over me. In the end, I had to inform her that I would be hanging up. I was under the impression that Cameron had implemented measures to put a stop to such calls - it seemed to have an effect for a bit, yet now we're seeing an upswing in these nuisance calls once again. Clearly, they’re disregarding the TPS regulations entirely.
