Got a call from a bloke with an asian accent claiming he was from BT, saying there were security issues with the IP addresses on my computer. He then asked how my phone line was working and if I was close to my PC right now. I told him I wasn’t and to ring me tomorrow instead. But of course, we all know tomorrow's a day that never really arrives!

this bloke said he was ringing from bt to check on our internet connection. we’d just had a brief power outage not long ago, plus an automated call from another number earlier. when i asked what number he was calling from, he claimed it was some kind of service, then after a pause, muttered something like "errmm... that’s none of your business" before hanging up. i could’ve told him the rest if he was up for it!

Got a call from a bloke claiming he was with Virgin Media’s tech team. He was going on about how my internet router wasn’t safe and that hackers might get hold of my customer licence security ID. He wanted to find out what kind of laptops, phones, and tablets I had. I didn’t fancy it, so I just ended the call.
