My mobile phone rang about 6 times, then my landline rang twice right after. This has happened a couple of times this week. Every time, when I answer, it's just silence.

I’ve had a couple of calls over the last couple of days in the arvo, didn’t pick up either time and they never left a message. Both had Huddersfield area codes but the numbers were different. I guess it’s probably the same sort of dodgy people ringing about.

Something quite odd happened to me too. I ended up speaking to a bloke who said they wanted to pop round and inspect my windows for heat leaks. Honestly, it felt a bit strange and made me a bit uneasy.

The individual who rang me was exceedingly disrespectful regarding my husband’s capability to ascertain the energy rating of our home. I genuinely felt as though he was yelling at me. When I mentioned that my husband is an electrician, he outright dismissed that notion, claiming my husband was clueless about energy ratings. His tone was rather aggressive and could easily be deemed intimidating, which might leave someone feeling quite uneasy, especially if they were in a vulnerable state. It was the kind of interaction that could pressure anyone into complying with his demands.

Got a call from a guy who asked for me by name, then just dropped the call! Didn't know the number so I looked it up here. No way I'm paying to call them back!

Got a ring from this number just yesterday (Wednesday), but I didn’t pick up. I only answer calls from folks saved in my phone - friends and family, that is. Anything else I just leave, assuming if it’s urgent, they’ll leave a voicemail. Of course, nothing came through. Checked out "who called me" and blocked the number straight away.
