8 yearsSome guy with an Indian accent called saying he was from BT, warning me my internet might be down for a week, maybe even longer like 10 days. He asked if I’d had an email and wanted me to get on my computer, but I wasn’t keen to do any of that or chat with him about it. I just ended the call, and it seemed like he did too at the exact same time. He even knew my husband’s name and assumed I was his wife. The call came through at 8 in the morning and it definitely felt like some sort of scam, probably trying to get money or something.BT8 yearsGot a cheeky spam call from ### saying my internet will be cut off in 10 hours or something. Didn’t even ask for my postcode but somehow had it. Bit dodgy if you ask me.8 yearsGot a call from someone called "Alex" with a thick Indian accent, saying they're from BT and that my "internet" was being used for some dodgy stuff and might get cut off. Funny how mentioning I work in IT security seemed to shut them up pretty quick!AlexBT8 yearsGot a call from some "Alex", said he was a BT engineer from India. The convo kept cutting out, sounded like a dodgy recording. Couldn’t get a straight answer from him, then he just ended the call. Just another scammer wasting my time.Alex8 yearsI've been getting calls from this woman about my internet having issues, saying my line's been hacked and all that. She says she's from BT and tries to get me to switch things off so she can "fix" it. Honestly, she sounds clueless and it's all just rubbish. The number she called from was 01484968128. Avoid it!BTCommons8 yearsThey didn’t say their name or anything, but it felt just like all the other calls I’ve gotten doing the same thing.8 yearsGot a call from someone who sounded Indian, called himself Kelvin and said he was from BT. Told me my internet would be cut off for 10 days because apparently hackers had gotten into my wifi and downloaded stuff onto my PC. He offered to check my computer for me. When I said I didn't believe he was really from BT, he said he could prove it by giving me a special number linked to my computer - obviously trying to get me to go online or something. I ended up hanging up, telling him I'd ring BT myself to confirm. Definitely felt like a total scam to me.KelvinBT8 yearsGot a call from someone with an Indian accent saying they were from BT.
