Got a call from someone who said his name was Eddie and claimed he was with Amazon's customer service. He said there was an iPhone order for £799 under my name. I told him I hadn’t ordered anything like that and told him to cancel it before I got the police involved. He sounded annoyed when I said I didn’t believe his story. Meanwhile, I checked my Amazon account and there was no sign of that order anywhere. He then tried telling me that the scammers were so clever they’d erased everything from my account. That’s when I just ended the call. Fingers crossed I handled it alright!
