Cheers for the warning! I was about to purchase a car but couldn’t locate where the seller was based. They asked for £500 via BACS upfront for a car that’s pricier at other places, plus my insurance reckons the car’s actually worth way more. Definitely dodgy!

Was about to put down £300 deposit on a car I found on Gumtree and Motors.co.uk, but something didn’t feel right. Decided to check the address they gave me and turns out Empire Car Center isn’t even a real place. Proper scam!
