This isn’t some PPI scam at all. Northern Assessors is a proper firm that does vehicle checks for insurance firms before they give you any money. They work with loads of insurers, Elephant and Hastings included. Basically, they’re just trying to book a time for their assessor to pop round and check out your car. If you keep ignoring their calls, you’ll probably find your car won’t get fixed.

I got a text saying they wanted to talk about my car’s worth after some damage check. They asked me to ring them on 01484864430 sometime today between 8:30 in the morning and 5 in the evening. They told me to have info ready about the last mileage of my vehicle. I never called back or replied to the message. Does anyone know who these lot are? Can someone put an end to this?

I keep getting calls about some accident I supposedly was in, but they never bother to tell me who they are. So frustrating!

Got a few texts saying they're from Elephant Insurance or something like that, telling me I'd been in an accident and asking me to ring them to check the damage. Felt a bit dodgy to me, so I didn’t bother calling back. Anyone else getting these weird messages?

I got a call from some firm saying they deal with accident claims. Total rubbish though, cos my car’s been in the garage and hasn’t had a single prang! Definitely sounds like a scam to me.
