The caller didn’t even bother to disclose their identity or the name of the company they represented. They specifically asked for my dad by name, and when I told them he wasn’t around, they really took a turn for the worse - sounding off with some vile threats about violence. I was quite taken aback and asked what they wanted with him, only for them to hurl more appalling threats my way before they ended the call abruptly. Just a quick note - I noticed "Debt Collection" amongst the categories of calls, but let me clarify: my father is well past working years, enjoying retirement, and has no debts to speak of. I take care of all his needs and pastimes. This whole episode has been quite distressing!3 yearsAbsolutely chilling experience! Someone called me up, didn’t bother to introduce themselves or mention their company, and immediately asked for my father by name. When I stated he wasn’t around, they escalated it to downright threats, saying something about turning my head into pulp if I didn’t get him. I pressed for their reasons behind all this, which only resulted in more menacing remarks. I decided to end the call at that point and have since cut off my phone.
