Phoned my ex-directory number, faint automated message stating "this is an emergency call from" at which point I sensed a scam and terminated the call.

Got a call from what turned out to be my unlisted number, there was a barely audible automated voice saying something like "emergency call from", so I figured it was a scam and just hung up.
