some bloke rang me claiming to be from sky telecom, saying he wanted to fix up my broadband router for better speed. I hadn’t noticed any issues or reported anything, so I told him I wasn’t interested and ended the call. a few months back i got a call like this where the person tried to get me to punch in some codes so they could see my laptop screen. after that, they asked me to log into my online bank to sort out a refund for bad service. i said no and hung up straight away. then he rang back and started shouting down the phone.

someone with an asian accent called and said a name, but i didn’t catch what it was. i just left the phone off the hook and went away.
