Yeah, it’s got all the signs of a scam to me. I get loads of these kinds of calls all the time. This one said it was from Yorkshire, which is weird cos I’ve got no mates or anything over there. My housing association is just round the corner, and most important calls I get come from nearby. The only one that’s a bit further is the DWP, which I think is based in Canterbury. They rang me at 9:15 in the morning, which felt really suspicious. Honestly, steer clear, it’s dodgy as hell!

Got a call from a woman around 8:10pm, didnt pick up. She mentioned a survey or something when I finally answered but I told her I was tied up. She said she’d call back later. Really not a good time for a survey, just a bit annoying really. The number was 01484499763.

This number has rung me a few times on both my mobile and home phone. The first call was on the 8th December. I picked up once, but they just hung up straight away. Then they called again on the 14th, 15th, twice on the 19th, and twice on the 20th on my mobile, plus once on my landline around 8.10 pm. I’m really fed up now, so I’ll be blocking it. I’m on the TPS register, but somehow they still get through. If it’s a proper survey, surely someone would speak when you answer?

NOT A SCAM Like I said before, it’s TFL research, a market research firm. Because of new government rules, housing associations have to carry out tenant satisfaction surveys after fixing stuff. The call is legit. They just want to check if the repair was done on schedule, if there were any problems, your thoughts, that kind of thing. It only took a few minutes.

This call seemed completely above board, he just wanted some feedback on a plumbing job we'd recently had done, which was arranged through our housing association, and he was aware of the right info. He didn’t ask for any personal or sensitive details. At the end, he offered info about his company, TLF, so I asked for a contact number and got 01484599610.
