I've been receiving incessant calls from a number that seems to be associated with something like the CT Review Agency. They claim to have expertise in reducing council tax, but want me to divulge some personal details first. This afternoon, I received a rather peculiar call from this number. The caller, claiming to be affiliated with Bolton Council, was probing me with private queries concerning our residence, such as how long we've been living here. They seemed to arrive at the erroneous conclusion that we’re overpaying on council tax. Having looked into this matter before, I can confirm that this isn’t the case. What piqued my interest was the fact that this number doesn’t seem to be linked to Bolton Council in any official capacity. The caller mentioned they would reach out again tomorrow, but we insisted that they should not. Oddly enough, they insisted that we should escalate this issue further. 22/02/2011
