This number 01484862409 has been calling me nonstop, yet whenever I pick up, there's complete silence on the other end.

I've had a few calls from this number, but every time it just picks up the answerphone and stays quiet, never actually leaving any message. When I try calling it back, it just says there's nobody available to take the call and then cuts off straight away. Really strange, like it's not actually being answered by a person.

got a call from this number today, the guy actually said my name so I answered, but then he just hung up. I tried calling back a few times to figure out who it was, but all I got was a recorded message saying, “there’s no one available to take your call.” really weird!

This might be one of those scams. Got a call from someone claiming to be the manager of some industrial offices nearby, but when I looked up the number it had a Huddersfield area code. They asked a bunch of questions and said my partner might be able to make a claim for hearing loss, but then just cut the call out of nowhere. We’ve decided to block the number now.
