Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise, but they didn’t bother leaving a voicemail. Adding it straight to my blocked list.

I picked up the call, but they just cut off without saying a word.

I kept getting calls from an Asian bloke who said his name was Jason Arron. He rang me about damp and rot issues around twenty times! Every time I told him I didn’t have any problems, he started pushing me to give him my mates’ numbers so I could enter some prize draw or something. When I refused to share my friends or neighbours’ details, he insisted I take down his mobile numbers and repeat them back to him. No matter how many times I told him I wasn’t interested, he just wouldn’t quit.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, asking if I knew anything about dry rot. Seriously, what’s that all about?

Got a random number ring me again, I just let it go to voicemail. Imagine if I started asking folks for their info out of the blue like that, I'd probably get in trouble straight away. If they really wanna talk, they should be paying me for my time first!

Some bloke rang up saying he could help clear all my debts and asked how much I owed. When I said about 300 grand, mortgages and all, he sounded well chuffed. I just told him the bank's handling it, cheers, then ended the call.

What a bunch of pointless time-wasters!

Loads of surveys ringing me non-stop... I've probably blocked like 100 numbers by now. They’ve started using mobile digits too, it’s getting ridiculous. Anyone up for starting a little squad to track down these firms and give them a taste of their own medicine?

Im stuck on the phone with them at the moment, they keep saying they can sort all my credit debts out for me.

I haven't the foggiest notion who the caller from this number could be.

If I don’t recognise the number and there’s no voicemail left, I just block it straight away. Didn’t pick up this time and no message was left - so straight to the blocked list it goes. The list just keeps getting bigger!

Spoke really nicely and had an accent that wasn’t British, maybe from abroad? They even thanked me for being polite! They were trying to do some kind of survey, but I told them I wasn’t interested.

They sounded quite nice and their accent definitely wasn’t from around here in the UK, maybe from abroad? They even said thanks for being polite! Tried to do some kind of survey, but I told them I wasn’t bothered.

I swear, every time I block a number, the calls just come through on a different one. It’s always some Paul, John, Susan or Stephanie with a really thick Indian accent, saying they’re from this or that "research" company, trying to get info out of you. What really bugs me is how many genuine firms must be passing on your details for these lot to know your name and usually your exact address as well. Someone at the telecom regulators seriously needs to sort this mess out.

I’ve got no clue who this person is but honestly, whenever I make a purchase online, from any shop really, I end up getting flooded with annoying calls and emails I never asked for! It’s so frustrating. I just wish these scammers would get an actual job instead of pestering everyone constantly. Guess I’ll be blocking another number now, because from what I’ve read in the comments, this is obviously another dodgy scam!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from 'household benefits' doing a survey about homes. They actually knew my name and where I live, which was a bit creepy. I told them I wasn’t interested at all. The person on the phone had a very strong Indian accent, just like usual with these calls.
