I received a call from a woman’s voice inquiring whether I had recently been involved in a vehicular incident that wasn’t my doing.

Some lady rang me up claiming I’d been in a car crash, but it wasn’t true at all.

Somebody from a firm called something like ‘all sorted’ or maybe ‘all sorts’ rang me up, wanting to chat about my life insurance. I said I’d just had a check-up on it and was quite happy with what I had. Then they pressed me on which company and broker I used. I told them I couldn’t quite recall but was fine with my current setup. After that, the caller got a bit rude and kept demanding I spill the info. Told them thanks, goodbye, and immediately blocked the number.

I've been getting calls from this number on both my home phone and mobile, even though I'm ex-directory. Feels like my info has been sold or given away somewhere. These companies really need to be banned from cold calling. I've blocked loads of numbers, but they just change the last digit and keep ringing. It's so annoying and honestly should be illegal!

So this number rang me a couple days back. I told the bloke that I wasn’t who he was after, and then he started pushing to know my name. I didn’t want to say, since he hadn’t even told me who he was or what the call was about. When I refused, he kept asking why I wouldn’t give it. That was enough for me to just hang up. Imagine my surprise when they called again from the same number today - properly feels like harassment to me.
