I got a call from some bloke saying he was from BT. But once I ended the call, I rang BT myself and they told me they never get in touch like that and it definitely wasn’t them. Seems like a proper scam to me, and honestly, it could be really harmful for older folks or anyone who might not be able to see through it.

Beware of the number 01483 803241, it’s dodgy. A mate of mine picked up once and a woman named Ave Wilson spoke to him with a thick Indian accent. After that, he got put through to some bloke called Alan who claimed he was from BT. Total scam alert! If you get a call from this number, just hang up straight away and block it. Luckily, I caught it early. If you’re with BT, you can block this number by dialling 1572 from your landline. Never give out your personal info to these lot.
