Received a call from 01483604654 where the chap insisted there was an issue with my computer. I firmly told him that I had no intention of downloading any of the software he was pushing. Once I hung up, he promptly called me back, threatening to 'block' my computer if I didn’t comply. I hung up again, rather annoyed!

Just got a call from someone saying they needed to discuss my Windows 10 on the computer and asked if I was the main user. I told them it’s not any of their concern and they ended the call super fast. If they ring you, do yourself a favour and either hang up or be firm like me. They’re just trying to get into your system and nick your info.

Got called a couple times last Friday by the same number, managed to pick up one. The bloke sounded Asian, mentioned some computer issue but my missus just ended the call. Today, they rang twice again; I took one in the morning and it was a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from some computer support. Asked her what company she was with and she just dropped the call. The second call this arvo was the last straw - had to block the number!

I'm so done with this, they've called me 4 times in just 3 hours. They ring a couple of times and then just hang up. Even if I wanted to pick up, couldn't do it. Is there any way to stop these calls? If I knew who they were, I'd be calling THEM back every 5 minutes!

Blimey, these callers just won’t take a hint, will they? I had two attempts at contact last Friday - I picked up one, and it was an Asian chap babbling on about some supposed computer issues. My wife couldn't take it and cut him off. Today, it was the same old story. An Asian woman rang this morning, claiming she was from some tech support group, trying to fix a 'problem'. When I asked her who she was representing, she promptly ended the call. This afternoon, I checked back on the number using 1471 but couldn't glean much help from it. Honestly, it’s baffling who can put an end to this nonsense. I doubt the telecommunications companies will intervene, especially since they're likely profiting from all this racket. It’s certainly a right pain in the backside! - Caller: Menace of a Kind

I've received calls from this number on two occasions today alone, and I’ve lost count of how many times they disturbed me yesterday. It's not like this is a new occurrence either; they seem to have taken a break from annoying me for about a month. Honestly, I’m rather fed up with their relentless ringing.

Received a call around 2 in the afternoon today. The person on the line claimed they could assist me with a supposed virus that was affecting my computer each time I used it. They urged me to sit in front of my device immediately, assuring me that a Microsoft technician would guide me through the necessary steps. I politely declined and hung up - the caller sounded like a lady with an Asian accent, but I didn’t catch her name.

Some bloke named "Harry" claiming to be from Microsoft rang me about my Windows PC. When I said I actually use Apple, he accused me of lying and then started telling me to do some really offensive stuff before telling me to "do one" and weirdly said he'd help me "drop dead." I've reported it to the cops, though I seriously doubt anything will come of it.

Last week, I received a phone call from this number. To my detriment, I entertained the caller's claims and let him present what he purported to be alarming files on my computer. He tried to sell me some anti-malware software, insisting it was sanctioned by Microsoft. I firmly declined his offer, to which he threatened that I wouldn't be able to operate a compromised computer for much longer and that he'd be in touch again. My computer did conk out temporarily, but it miraculously sprang back to life the next day. I promptly ran a scan with Malwarebytes and found no issues. That morning, I was bombarded with around eight calls starting from 7:55, and even after informing the caller that I had reported his menacing tactics to Action Fraud, I ended up receiving another two calls two days later, which I wisely chose to ignore. I received a call from an absolute nincompoop who was attempting to tell me, in utterly garbled English, that my computer had some sort of software issue and that he was affiliated with Microsoft. Honestly, you'd think they'd bother to master the language before attempting to scam unsuspecting folks! They’ve called me up four times already today, always with someone who sounds Indian or Asian, yet they use typical English names. The most recent caller said her name was Mary and tried to get me to switch my laptop on, claiming it was infected with viruses and whatnot. I just told her to find a proper job instead. Honestly, I’ve been a lot ruder before. These calls are just ridiculous, and even though I’m on the TPS through BT, it’s done absolutely nothing to stop them.

I've received three calls now from the number 01483 604782. The caller had an accent that sounded Indian or Pakistani and repeated a well-known spiel about some sort of virus or other nonsense, claiming to be from Windows Tech (not even Microsoft!). When I pressed him about where he was based, he mentioned London. I requested his postcode, which seemed to really irritate him, as he barked back that he wasn't obliged to provide such information. At that point, he launched into some colourful Hindi insults before hanging up on me. He already had my name, and he was calling my landline, which makes me wonder how he got my information in the first place. It's clearly a scam. I'm at a loss as to how we can go about reporting or catching these crooks.

Earlier today I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, he said his name was Jim, but I wasn’t convinced. He went on and on about my computer, which I found really fishy. I just got a rather dubious phone call from this number featuring a chap with an African accent claiming to be from Microsoft Windows. He insisted there was a problem with my computer. I promptly informed him that I don't own one and hung up. After that, I dialled 1471, and guess what? The same number appeared. My husband has had numerous calls from this same dodgy number as well. Clearly, it’s a scam. I’ve registered with the call preference service, but these annoying calls still manage to slip through. I was told that they can't block calls from abroad, but I’m not convinced that's entirely accurate. Something really needs to be done about this situation!

Earlier today, I had an unexpected encounter with a chap who claimed his name was Jim, though I have serious doubts about that. He had quite the accent, and he wouldn't stop chirping about my computer issues. I decided it was best to let him carry on, effectively throwing his cash down the drain while I stayed silent. He kept pestering, asking if I could hear him, but when I didn’t bite, he eventually hung up. I had quite the unsettling experience with a phone call from this number. When I declined to check my computer as they suggested, their tone shifted to one of great urgency, insisting that my device was compromised and could fail at any moment. I've been receiving numerous calls from this number, with them claiming to be representatives from Microsoft. They insist that I need to perform some checks on my computer as it's apparently running slowly. Whenever I hesitate, they pass me on to a so-called supervisor. I just received a rather dubious phone call from them, during which the representative spoke in a rather garbled manner. They claimed that my computer has been compromised and mentioned that they had received alarming reports from my laptop over the past fortnight. I managed to keep him on the line long enough to do a quick search for the number, and I must say, I relished the moment when I informed him that a) the number he was using is flagged as a scam, b) I've got a degree in IT, thank you very much, so I’m more than capable of maintaining my laptop, and c) his entire spiel was utter nonsense. I received a call from 01483 604782 at 12:24 on the 15th of December, 2015. There was nothing but silence on the other end, followed by a rather abrupt recorded farewell. Quite the annoyance, I must say. - caller: no identification provided.

Got a ring from this number earlier, picked up and then suddenly the call just dropped. Seeing what others have said about it, I’m definitely not picking up if it calls back.

Initially, they claimed to be representatives from Sky Media, then they switched to Microsoft, and now they've tried to pass themselves off as Windows Support. I've decided to register with TPSONLINE.org.uk to put an end to these annoying phone calls. Do they really believe we're that gullible? It's quite laughable!

Today, I received a rather dubious call from someone named 'Mary', claiming to be from the Microsoft Technical Department. She had an accent that sounded distinctly Indian or Pakistani. According to her, I had unknowingly downloaded a virus, and if I powered up my computer, she would guide me on how to locate my computer’s licence number. Apparently, she required this information to verify some details she supposedly had on me. I wasn't convinced for a second and ended the call abruptly! - caller: Mary from Microsoft Tech Support.

I had to let my mum know that her computer is dreadfully compromised, but the hilarity of it all is that she doesn’t even have one! Talk about stubborn pests!

That number 01483604872? Avoid it like the plague, those lot are trying to shove malware onto your computer. Honestly, if they ask you to do anything, just say no - don't fall for their nonsense. Make sure your antivirus is fully updated and give your system a good scan. With Christmas coming up, these scammers are more persistent than ever, desperate to nick your personal info. Best thing to do is mess with them a bit or just ignore them altogether. Happy holidays from a fellow techie!

Isn’t it rather remarkable how frequently we find ourselves grappling with issues on our computers, while that chap from Microsoft seems to have a sixth sense about it all? The moment I tell him I’m not having any troubles, he promptly hangs up! They just don’t give up, do they? Quite the trial, I must say!

Got a call from this number today, some guy going on about my computer being at risk. I asked him which computer he meant, and he said something about Windows 10. Told him I don't use one. Then he tried to ask who I was, I asked who he was after instead. He just made up some name. He kept saying my computer was in danger. I told him he had the wrong number and ended the call. This is like the fifth time these scam calls have come through to me.

I picked up a call from 01483604782 and after a moment of silence, an automated voice came on just to say "goodbye." When I tried to ring it back, the line was just dead. Quite strange!

Today, I received three calls, all from the same caller, claiming that my computer was infected with a virus. They insisted they could assist in removing it. To do this, they requested that I input a code which, according to them, would allow them remote access to my machine. It’s astonishing how they managed to obtain such personal details! They knew not only my name but also where I purchased my computer. When I mentioned that this was a common online scam, they insisted otherwise. I firmly stated that I would be reporting their activities to the authorities, at which point they abruptly ended the call. The caller identified himself as David, supposedly from Microsoft technical support.

I received two phone calls last week and yet another today. I told them they were spouting nonsense regarding my alleged computer issues. The response I got was quite cheeky-she told me to bugger off! - Caller: Microsoft tech support.

Got a call from some bloke claiming my computer had viruses. He actually got me to let him log in and then said there were nearly 3,000 errors and that Windows updates were being stopped. Then he tried to sell this yearly plan or some ‘platinum’ deal for £290! I told him I’d think about it and hung up. Checked with my actual IT support and they said it’s a well-known scam. I’m going to report the number to the cops.

I received a couple of phone calls today from individuals claiming to be affiliated with Microsoft. They asserted they were reaching out to assist with a licensing problem that supposedly arose during my last login. However, as soon as I hinted that their identity might not be genuine, the line went completely silent! Clearly a dodgy scheme, I remember spotting an article in the local newspaper not long ago that highlighted how this particular fraud operates, often leading to the installation of software which can give them control over your computer. Deceptive tactics like these are truly alarming!

Today, I received two phone calls from some individuals claiming to be affiliated with Microsoft. They were insistent about assisting me with a supposed licensing problem that had cropped up the last time I accessed my computer. However, as soon as I probed their legitimacy, the line went completely silent! I’m absolutely convinced it was a scam. Just the other day, I came across an article in the newspaper highlighting this very con - apparently, they trick you into installing software that opens the door for them to remotely control your PC.

Absolutely, I had the same bunch ring me up today, claiming to be "David." They insisted they were there to "assist" me with an alleged infection on my computer. This number has been calling us multiple times daily, around three to four times. I've chosen not to answer since we know it's a scam. How on earth can we put an end to this nuisance? Is there a specific authority to which we can report this?
