Got a call from 01428707889 on 2nd March 2020 about renewing Amazon Prime. Thing is, I’m not even an Amazon customer. It started off with an automated message, so I waited it out till a woman answered. She had an accent, sounded foreign. I asked if this was some sort of scam and right away she just ended the call. Wondering how she knew my name though?

Got a call from an Asian guy about some housing thing, was really rude to my mum who’s quite elderly. Luckily I picked up, coz she might have been upset. He hung up but then rang again and told me not to hang up on him. Ended up blocking the number straight away.

I've received incessant calls on my elderly mother's phone lately. Just today, the caller inquired about my late father. When I probed him about the company he was representing, he responded with, "I assume I'm conversing with Mrs....” I reiterated my question about his business, and he stated his name, but I just kept asking what firm he was with. I’m rather relieved I picked up the call, as he went on to ask for my father-who, mind you, has been gone for a DECADE!
