Got two calls within a couple days from someone with an accent claiming to be with British Gas, asking for my postcode.

I got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who claimed to be from British Gas. This was soon after I'd rang their customer service about an issue, which by then was already fixed. Still, he insisted on discussing the matter further. He tried to get me to confirm some details, but I didn’t share anything. Oddly enough, he did mention the name of the agent I’d originally dealt with. When I asked for proof of who he really was, he told me to call him back. He seemed to get a bit annoyed when I didn’t go along with it. Just a heads up!

In the past couple of days, I've gotten two calls from this number. I picked up today and a bloke with an accent I couldn’t place said he was from British Gas. He kept asking for my full name and postcode, but I wasn’t comfortable giving them out since he didn’t properly say who he was. After I wouldn’t share the info, he said I needed to ring back because there was some sort of emergency. Weirdly, he wouldn’t explain what the emergency was unless I gave him my postcode first.
