Got one of those calls too, saying they were from Citizens Advice about some debt I supposedly owe. When I told them I don't have any debts, they started asking if I had life insurance. I then mentioned I’m in the police and asked what the heck their call was really for. Next thing, the bloke started shouting that he hoped I caught Coronavirus and just slammed the phone down. Proper lovely bloke, wasn’t he!

Today around 11.15 a bloke phoned me up, claiming he was from the Citizens Advice Agency? (not Bureau, which felt a bit strange). I got suspicious straight away and asked him, "How can I be sure you’re legit?" He quickly just snapped, "Fxxk off!" and then just hung up on me.

I received a call where the bloke on the other end knew my name and claimed to be from the Citizens Advice Agency-not the Bureau, mind you. Instantly my suspicions were aroused, so I questioned him, 'What assurance do I have that you're legitimate?' His response was rather rude; he shot back with, 'Piss off!' and then just cut the line. I didnt get this call, so I used 1471 to check the number and, like usual, called back but no reply. I watched that Panorama show about scams recently, so I reckon it might be some dodgy caller from abroad. If thats the case, they can keep ringing over there, it sounds well dodgy.

He went on about how an IVA could clear all my debts. I let him chat for a good four minutes before he asked if I qualified and how much I owed.
