This number rang me a couple of times. First time I told the person to just send over any documents if I actually needed an appointment for a new gas meter. They just ended the call and sounded really rude. Seems like a scam to me.

Got a weird call about some smart meters from British Gas, seemed a bit off.

I answered and they just dropped the call straight away. Looks like they’re just seeing if the number is active so they can add it to their list for future calls.

Someone rang me saying it was about smart meters, sounded fishy to me so I didn’t bother giving any info. Be careful, might just be a scam.

Got a call from 01483297100 today but didn’t pick up since it was an unknown number. They’ve called a couple of times before and I ignored those too.

I rang them back only to be informed it was a 'wrong number.' It’s quite possible this is linked to British Gas, as several others have suggested. I've recently received a quote for a new boiler, so it makes sense.

I didn’t pick up as I was stuck in a meeting, so I cant say for sure, but if it’s British Gas, I’m not their customer so they really shouldn't be ringing me about smart meters.

They keep ringing me but I don't pick up and have now blocked the number.

Got a call from someone saying they were from British Gas, telling me I needed to book in to update my old smart meter. Thing is, the British Gas engineer was here just two days ago fitting me the newest smart meters for electric and gas. So I just ended the call. Then I rang the number on the leaflet the engineer gave me, and he really did install the latest meters. But apparently, the number 01483297100 ain't a British Gas number. Looks a bit fishy to me! Hope British Gas looks into this properly.
