01483238431 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01483238431 👆 is reported as a phishing scam involving spoofed emails from a supposed accounts department at Interface FM, demanding payment of various small overdue balances. The emails often come with suspicious addresses mimicking the genuine company domain, and replies may bounce or redirect to fake contacts. Interface FM confirms their system was hacked, advising recipients not to respond. Many recipients have no prior dealings with the company and caution others to ignore these emails and block associated addresses and phone numbers, which are used to lend false legitimacy. The scam’s aim appears to be eliciting responses, potentially leading to further fraud attempts. Vigilance and verification with the genuine source is strongly recommended.

I too have received an email from Karen Lassiter at [email protected]. It merely contained vague mentions of some overdue account, without any detailed figures. Honestly, I have no recollection of ever coming across Interface FM or having any engagement with them. I’ll definitely be adding that email address to my blocked list from now on!

I recently received a rather alarming email from a certain Karen Lassiter, with an email address ending in [email protected], insisting that I settle an overdue account. Strangely enough, there’s no record of such a company in our files, and it didn’t ring any bells, even though it shares a loose affiliation with our sector. When I attempted to respond, my message bounced back as undeliverable, leading me to discover that the 'reply to' address is actually [email protected] - a distinction that others have also highlighted. Thankfully, I avoided replying to that one! The provided contact numbers were Direct: 03333 407133, Tel: 01483 810799, and Fax: 01483 810201, which ultimately directed me to this discussion. I’ll be blocking the email address and keeping an eye out for any incoming calls from similar numbers.

It appears that InterfaceFM hasn't suffered a breach; rather, someone is impersonating their email address. Instead of reaching out to the genuine IntREfaceFM, any responses you send are being redirected elsewhere. It's a rather crafty little ruse. As for John Smith, he's rather powerless if someone simply introduces themselves as "Hi, I'm John Smith" and then provides a disposable number for you to ring them. Honestly, I'm not quite sure of the ins and outs of this particular con. It seems they’re keen to entice you into replying, and once you've taken the bait, that’s when the real shenanigans kick off. It's quite a devious plot, to say the least!

I received an email featuring the contact details for interfacefm. If you've realised that your account may have been compromised, it seems you're not taking any steps to rectify the situation. Have you considered updating your passwords yet?

It's exactly the same situation, but now they're after £93.23! Absolutely not happening!

I can relate to that! A big thank you to everyone who provided some much-needed insight. Just a heads up, the email address seems to be intrefacefm.com (with a cheeky swap of 'e' and 'r' from interfacefm.com). Quite peculiar, don’t you think? Typically, phishing attempts utilise dodgy PDF files as a means of infection rather than requesting a phone call.

I've received the identical email on two separate occasions, both asking for £89.39, but sent to different email accounts of mine. Interestingly, the message doesn't mention any specific company, yet the return address points to Interface.com, which has raised my eyebrows. I'm choosing to disregard this altogether as the headers appear rather dodgy.
