I reckon it’s about time we stand up to these calls. When your phone rings from one of these numbers, just ring them back and hold on until they pick up. Then wait for them to hang up first before you do. Trust me, it’s oddly satisfying. Give it a go! So my mobile just rang from a number I didn’t know, and I just let it go to voicemail instead of picking up. My landline’s always on voicemail these days because of the flood of unsolicited calls we get. We actually changed the message to say, “Hi, we screen cold callers. Leave a message if you want us to get back to you.” Silly enough, only the automated calls bother leaving a message! It really saves us from having to drop everything just to answer rubbish calls. When the cold calls started hitting my mobile too, I put the same voicemail on there. They can keep trying to ring me, but I’m not wasting my time answering them.

Yet another one of those dodgy PPI calls again. Seriously, mobile companies along with the ombudsman need to crack down on these once for all, maybe slap on some big fines and even jail time to make them stop.

My phone has been ringing nonstop recently. Figured I’d pick up this time, thinking it was important... Nope, turns out it was just about some PPI claim nonsense. With the number of calls, I’m starting to wonder how many loans they think I’ve taken out! I hit option 5 to get a real person, and some bloke called "David from Financial Claims" introduced himself. But the moment I mentioned how annoying the calls were, he just slammed down the phone - proper rude! Tried calling back but no one picks up. Honestly, I’m fuming and ready to sort this out once and for all!

Had a ring from this number earlier. I hit 5 thinking it was to "process your claim," trying to figure out who it was. A young chap called Barry answered but couldn’t tell me what number he was calling from, only said he was from "Reclaim Services". I told him the number he called was actually on the telephone preference service, so he’s basically breaking the rules. He said he wasn’t aware of that. When I asked for his last name, he just laughed and ended the call. Tried to ring back after, but just got a "call failed" notice.

Got a missed call earlier from 01483223117. When I tried calling back, it just said "number dialled is incorrect". Bit strange if you ask me.

At 12:33 on the 19th of March 2013, I had a call on my phone from this number. From what I can find, it looks like one of those annoying automated calls trying to sell PPI claims.

Since I signed up with 'just eat', I've been getting loads of annoying calls about PPI insurance and the like. When I try to ring back, it just seems to be cut off or no connection at all. Really frustrating!
