First there was nothing, just silence, then when I tried ringing back it came up as an invalid number.

got a call earlier from someone who claimed there was an issue with my laptop or computer. i told them i dont even own a computer, but he kept insisting he could see it on the bt database. i then told him the computer had been moved out and ended the call.

I rang 1471 and it showed 01483 203828. The call came through at 9:34am today, then my voicemail kicked in. When I picked up, nobody was there. Tried calling the number again but it was just dead. Proper odd that.

this bloke said he was ringing from somewhere in SE Asia (which immediately made me suspicious!) and claimed his firm had got reports about computer issues around my area that were messing with my emails and internet browsing. i told him i thought it was a load of rubbish and ended the call straight away.

some guy with an indian accent called me telling me to turn on my pc, sounded like he was trying to scam me into letting him on my computer or something dodgy like that.

got a call from some woman overseas saying it was the biggest call i'd ever receive. she claimed my computer was in danger and that others could see everything on it. they supposedly wanted to fix it for me! she said her company was 'tech help line' or something like that. I just hung up right away. watch out for these scammers!
