They kept ringing me from various numbers, so I just started ignoring and blocking them. But once, I thought I’d mess with the caller. He said he was from the government, so I asked which department because I actually work in the government. Then he hesitated and admitted he wasn’t really, just calling on their behalf. When I asked for the CEO and gave a name, he got all flustered. I simply hung up. That was the end of it!

Got a call from a guy called Jackson, said he was from India and wanted to discuss some EC upgrade or something. I just hung up straight away. What’s bothering me though is how he already had my full name. Bit dodgy if you ask me!

I tried ringing back since there was no voicemail left, but as soon as I dialled the number, it came up with "number not recognised." After reading the other comments, I decided to block it straight away. Cheers for the heads up!

I get loads of random calls and when this number popped up I didn't pick because I don't have any business or mates in Hull. Decided to look it up anyway and turns out it's another dodgy scammer. Blocked it straight away!

My phone buzzed but there was nobody on the other end. Normally, I wouldnt bother but since the number had a Hull area code, I phoned back. It was a recorded message beginning with something about ‘to opt out.’ I quickly ended the call! Fingers crossed the callback didnt redirect to some expensive premium line.

Got a call from an Asian lady about loft insulation. I told her I wasn’t interested at all. Then she tried saying it was some sort of health and safety thing! I just told her that was nonsense and ended the call.

I got a call from a lady who wanted to chat with me and oddly enough, she already knew my Christian name and last name. When I confirmed I was the person she wanted, she mentioned the call was breaking up and said she'd ring back from another number. However, she just ended the call and never phoned again.

Someone rang up looking for my sister and actually told me her full address and postcode! When I told them I wasn’t her and asked to speak to their manager, they just cut me off. I’m honestly really concerned about who else they might be giving this kinda info to, handing out people's full names and addresses to complete strangers like that.

So yesterday I did a covid test in Hull. Then around 7pm my landline started ringing. I noticed the number was from Hull, so I thought it might be about the test. I picked up the phone. A young woman with a really strong Asian accent asked if I was by my last name, without using any title like Mr or Mrs. That felt a bit off to me, so I just ended the call.
