Today, 28th October 2019, around 1.44pm, I got a call from this number. The person on the other end had an accent that sounded Indian and claimed they’d been checking phone lines and routers. They said there was an issue with my router and wanted to connect to my computer to supposedly fix slow download speeds. I told them I had just tested my internet speed and it was fine, and right after that, they hung up. This definitely seems like a scam to me. BE CAREFUL! Never let anyone have remote access to your PC. This was the third call of its kind I’ve had today, and each time it’s from a different number, so it looks like they’re using a random number generator to mask their identity.
