I received a call at 9.00 a.m. this morning and was greeted by a woman speaking in a language completely unfamiliar to me. I kindly informed her that I couldn't understand what she was saying, but her response, delivered with an incredibly thick accent, was for me to simply listen. She proceeded to insist that there was a serious issue with my broadband and that I must allow her to handle it. When I asked her to identify which company she represented, she finally revealed it was Virgin. I then mentioned that we've never been customers of Virgin. Following this, she quite rudely raised her voice-what I can only assume was her way of swearing-before abruptly hanging up on me. Well, that was a lovely start to the day, wasn't it? 😂
