Got a call from 01482 820077, a Hull area code, and the woman on the other end claimed to be calling from Amazon. She told me I'd supposedly paid £42.99 and asked if I wanted to confirm the transaction. I haven’t bought anything from Amazon recently, so I told her she must be having a laugh and hung up straight away. It’s a bit different from the usual recorded scam calls I get - this time it was an actual person speaking. Seems like a new way they’re trying to trick people. K. Kennington
