I recently received a rather alarming phone call from a chap claiming he was a technician from Google, insisting that our computer had been compromised. When my family and I expressed our scepticism, he promptly handed us over to a woman who purported to be from a different department to further elaborate on the dire situation. She insisted that we follow her instructions-or else they would have no choice but to sever our internet connection. She requested that we locate our IP address and compare it against a string of letters and numbers she provided, attempting to convince us that this would somehow validate their legitimacy as Google representatives. I was not convinced and firmly urged them for a contact number to ring back once we'd done our due diligence, although I was already aware of their number. She flatly refused and slammed the phone down when we declined to comply with her demands. Quite the experience, to say the least!

Had a bothersome call from this number-definitely one to steer clear of!

I received a call at 1:45 PM today from someone claiming to be with Google’s London office. They insisted it was regarding an urgent security issue. I hung up right away as it raised my suspicions. The caller had an Indian accent, which also seemed a bit off to me. I've taken the precaution of blocking that number now.

I received a call from a woman claiming to be from the Google office in London, insisting that my computer had been compromised. She urged me to power up my device right away, but I firmly declined. Despite her pesky persistence, I remained adamant about not complying. To top it off, the number she called from was a hull code, not anything linked to London. It's clearly a scam through and through!
