I keep getting calls from what looks like my area code, but I'm pretty sure it’s a fake number. They play a recorded message saying it’s the VISA debit fraud team, warning me about some dodgy £900 transaction on my account - which is weird since I don’t even have a Visa card. They tell me to “press 1 to cancel the payment.” This has happened so many times now, always with the same £900 figure, so I just hang up straight away without a second thought.
