Been getting loads of calls from this number and ones like it, blocking them but new ones pop up after a few days. They keep asking for someone who isn’t me. Looks like some kind of credit scam, claiming to be a debt collector. At the very least, just annoying calls.

I get loads of text messages and recorded calls meant for ‘Mr Steven Cox’ - sounds quite believable, but it’s all fake! It’s really frustrating, I just want them to stop. I've encountered a similar situation as others have mentioned - getting calls incessantly at all hours, both day and night, inquiring about a person who doesn’t live here. The moment I realise it’s them, I hang up promptly; I refuse to risk getting hit with charges by pressing some automated prompt. It's reached the point where I’ve had to disconnect my landline entirely, as I'm utterly fed up with the disturbance during ungodly hours, not to mention the racket bothering my neighbours, given that I tend to ignore these calls. I'm genuinely fuming about all this, as I'm missing out on calls from people who actually need to reach me! Unfortunately, without a phone that shows who's calling, I’m stuck having to ring 1471 every single day to see who tried to get in touch.
