A woman rang me yesterday claiming to be from Microsoft, insisting there were issues with our computer. My husband, totally bewildered, told her he was unsure what she was on about and promptly ended the call. Almost straight away, I received a call from a man who wasted no time launching into a tirade, demanding, "Why did you hang up?" in a rather confrontational manner. When I mentioned that we use an AppleMac, he became quite agitated, stating that he had evidence of a Microsoft machine linked to our address. A fierce argument ensued, and despite me mentioning that I would report him to the Telephone Preference Service, which we're registered with, he continued to shout over me. Eventually, I hung up and decided to block the number. A thoroughly dreadful experience, I must say.
