8 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call from what I can only assume was a prankster attempting to channel their inner stand-up comic. He was inquiring whether a chap named Eddie, who resides at a certain number on a particular street, was in the business of selling steam locomotives. Apparently, he sourced my number from the local phone directory! Can you believe it? Trains, of all things! My partner was utterly perplexed by this person’s antics. Being the curious cat that I am, I decided to ring him back at the unearthly hour of 6 am to ask, "Who on earth am I speaking to, and what’s all this about?"
