I got a phone call from 01482354687, and a woman on the line inquired if she was speaking to Mrs (my surname). I didn’t confirm or deny but rather asked for her identity. She claimed to be from Amazon and mentioned that there had been a purchase of a gift card worth £49.99 on my account. At that moment, I decided to end the conversation, asserting that it was indeed a scam as Amazon never calls customers directly. I firmly told her not to reach out to me again.
