The number 01482354687 called me earlier, and a woman asked if she’d reached Mrs (my surname). I didn’t confirm either way and instead asked who was calling. She claimed to be from Amazon and said a gift card worth £49.99 had been bought using my account. I quickly ended the call, telling her it was a scam since Amazon never phones customers directly, and I made it clear they must not call me back.
