Warning! Just received a dodgy call from an automated voice, posing as Amazon. It was thanking me for a £412 transaction and mentioned that an iPhone 9 would be on its way soon. I’ve never made this purchase, and I certainly don’t even have an Amazon account! Be careful, everyone!

Got a voicemail claiming to be from Amazon, saying thanks for a payment of £399. They said they'd be sending an iPhone 7 soon and to press 1 if I wanted to cancel. Sounds like yet another dodgy scam to me.

Got a recorded call from a woman with a faint American accent claiming to be from some "bank security" team, but they never actually said which bank. The message gave two options: press 1 to approve charges or 2 to stop them. When I didn't press anything, out came a guy with a Pakistani accent. Seems like this rings out of a call centre in Karachi. It's definitely a con designed to fool people into handing over their personal and bank info without realising it. Stay safe!

I found out from the police that this number belongs to an older woman who’s getting really upset with all the calls she’s receiving. It seems like some scammer has somehow managed to use her phone line to make annoying calls, probably trying to steal card info.
