Got a call from some automated voice saying there’d been an unauthorised bank transaction and to press 0 for the message again. My husband’s hearing isn’t great, so he handed me the phone. When I pressed 0, it connected me to a guy with an African accent. I hung up straight away, but later tried to dial 1471 to find out who called, and that same man’s voice was still on the line. We’re both quite old and this really left us feeling uneasy and stressed.
