someone rang me saying they were from my ‘card company’. they said there were two transactions on my account, one around £400 and another about £1300. they told me to press 1 if i wanted to block them or press 2 to keep them. i just hung up straight away.

Got a call saying it was from Amazon about buying an iPhone. They asked me to press 1 if I didn’t recognise the order. I’m pretty sure if you did press 1, it would just connect you to some expensive call centre abroad, maybe in Albania or somewhere dodgy. It sounds like a classic trick to fool people who aren’t careful, so I’ve flagged it as risky.
