Not long ago, I had upgraded my phone, and I was advised to transition from EE to Vodafone. He mentioned he was calling from Hull, but I struggled to grasp his message and the purpose of his call. After several minutes of perplexing conversation, he seemed to realise it wasn’t going anywhere and abruptly wished me well before hanging up. When I looked into the number, it turned out to be linked to Vodafone. It’s truly frustrating that those who make unsolicited calls don’t take the time to introduce themselves clearly and explain the reason for their call properly.

I received a call from someone purporting to be from Vodafone, but I can assure you, they are anything but! I popped into a local store and had them verify the number, and the staff member confirmed it’s certainly not affiliated with Vodafone at all. Quite suspicious, I must say!

Pretending to be Vodafone, I’ve read some people mention that if you look up the number on Vodafone’s site it shows up as theirs. Sadly scammers are clever and can copy phone numbers from companies they’re faking, so the number pops up on your caller ID. Never share any info with them, because even if it really is Vodafone, it’s just a sales pitch. If you’re thinking about changing your plan, it’s safer to do it online or pop into a store.
