Not long ago, I switched my phone provider from EE to Vodafone on someone’s recommendation. The caller claimed to be from Hull, but their accent was hard to follow. After struggling to understand the purpose of the call, the bloke just gave up, said something like "have a nice day," and hung up. I looked up the number afterwards and saw it was linked to Vodafone. If you’re going to make cold calls, you really should speak clearly and explain who you are and why you’re ringing, instead of leaving people baffled.

Someone said they were from Vodafone, saying it was a friendly call to see if I’m overpaying on my contract. I told them I’d just switched my plan, so they should already know that. The caller kept pushing even after I said no, so I hung up. The same number’s called me 3 times since, so I’ve blocked it now.

Got a call from someone saying they were O2 offering me a 25% cut on my bill. I said I'd rather wait for the real O2 to get in touch the proper way, then ended the call.

Some bloke rang me up sayin he was from Vodafone and somehow knew my name. He went on about my phone bill and said I’d used up all my data. Before I could say much, I heard a baby crying loudly in the background - that was my clue it was dodgy. Then he just hung up real fast.

This number has been ringing me non stop for like 10 days, called me about half a dozen times but I ignored every single call. I decided to check it out online and found out it’s a Vodafone scam pretending to be legit. Since I’m a Vodafone customer, I’m glad I didn’t answer otherwise I might have fallen for it. Best advice, don’t answer and just block it. Be careful out there everyone.

Someone called saying they were from Vodaphone, but I highly doubt that. I even popped into a shop and asked an employee to look it up, and they told me for sure it’s not a Vodaphone number. Definitely a scam or wrong caller.

Pretending to be Vodafone, I’ve read some people mention that if you look up the number on Vodafone’s site it shows up as theirs. Sadly scammers are clever and can copy phone numbers from companies they’re faking, so the number pops up on your caller ID. Never share any info with them, because even if it really is Vodafone, it’s just a sales pitch. If you’re thinking about changing your plan, it’s safer to do it online or pop into a store.

Just got a call from a woman saying she was calling from Vodafone, saying there were problems with my phone. Then she started asking for personal stuff like a one-time password, my DOB and even my postcode. Sounds dodgy to me. I’d guess it’s a scam, so don’t give out any info, even if it seems legit. Stay safe!

Someone called claiming to be from Vodafone, saying I was close to using up my data. They asked me for my date of birth and postcode, then sent me a 4 digit code by text, saying it was for data protection verification. I only ended the call after thinking it might be a scam. Sadly, I gave them my dob and postcode before I realised.

When I refused to give any details, they offered to send a text to verify themselves, like that would convince me. I told them honestly, it wouldn’t. If they were really Vodafone, they’d already know who I am seeing as they called me.

This person claimed to be from Vodafone and told me I'd used up all my data. They tried to push me into buying extra data. They even knew how much I pay each month and when my plan renews. I told them I’d just turn off my data and ended the call. Later, I logged into my account and found I still had over 90% of my data left, so it’s definitely a scam.
