Got two calls for my mum, who’s in her nineties, from someone asking straight up for her credit card details. Fortunately, she just hung up on them. She’s actually registered with the TPS too, so it’s pretty annoying they still managed to get through.

Lately, I've been getting loads of these calls. What I do is tell whoever's on the other end that I’ve been in quite a few accidents lately and it’s messed with my memory a bit. Then I ask them to specify which accident they're talking about, and I'll try to help if I can. Usually, after a few minutes of that, they just give up and hang up. Also, the same trick works wonders on those jokers who ring about problems with my computer.

Got a call at 7.32pm on the 25th of July 2016 from someone sounding Indian or Asian. Didn’t even bother to pick up, just hung up straight away.

Over the past week or so, I’ve gotten about five calls from this number, mostly just after 3 in the afternoon. Four times I answered and there was just silence, but one time a man with a South-Asian accent started talking quickly about some "accident insurance claims". I’ve been getting these types of calls for years now, about accidents that never happened. When I told him I’d already asked them to stop and that I’d report them if they kept calling, he just hung up on me.
