Got a call from someone claiming my washing machine insurance needed renewing. Told them it was still under warranty. They then asked how long the warranty lasted, and I said a year. Next, they wanted to know how old the machine was, I answered it’s less than 12 months old. After that, they just hung up. Be careful, sounds like a scam.

Got a call today from some bloke I didn’t quite catch the company name of, but he definitely had my name and address right. He claimed it was about my washing machine, which I thought was odd so I said I wasn’t sure he’d be calling me about that. He then told me the warranty was nearly expired and just like that, he ended the call. Pretty obvious it was some dodgy scheme if you ask me.

This number has rung me twice already today. Every time, all I heard was a recorded "goodbye" - just one word. It’s really irritating, and I’m pretty sure it’s some sort of scam. They’ve labelled it as harassing, but I can’t help feeling it might be harmful too.
