7 yearsToday, 28th October 2019 at around 11:45am, I got a call from a man who sounded Indian. He claimed he was calling from BT, saying they’d been checking phone lines and noticed my download speeds were slow. He asked if he could remotely access my computer to fix the issue. I immediately felt something was off, so I told him to send me something in writing instead. He said he’d email me, but I never got any address from him and didn’t share mine either. If this was legit, surely they’d already have my email, right? So far, no email has shown up. Honestly, this seems like a classic scam to me. BE VERY CAREFUL and never let anyone have remote access to your device. This was actually the second call with the same story that I had this morning.
