Got a call just like that on another line yesterday, both came through at 8.40 sharp. Wouldn’t expect a legit company to ring before 9 without setting a time first. Pretty sure it’s an energy scam too. Blocked the numbers straight away. They’ll probably try a different one tomorrow, bloody nuisance!

I picked up when this number rung me but they ended the call straight away.

Couldn’t quite get the firm’s name, but the caller bombarded me with questions about my energy supplier, even asked what sort of washing machine we had and how old it was. Then suddenly switched the topic to mortgages. He seemed to know all my info - name, phone number and address. Told him I wasn’t going to answer any more and just ended the call. Later, he rang my mobile, and I picked up thinking it was something from work.
