Today at lunch, my landline buzzed and the guy on the other end was asking about the age of my boiler, saying I might be eligible for a new one. I said my boiler’s fine and I wasn’t thinking about replacing it. He kept pushing a bit, but I just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

If you ring back with your number blocked, you get this automated message for some Energy Company. This time, they actually wanted my name, but when I asked “Who’s this?” they just dropped the call. Feels dodgy, but can’t say for sure if it’s a scam.
