Just like some of you, I got a call from a bloke with terrible English saying he was from something called hrip to buy, which he claimed was a new window company. Didn’t sound right to me, so I just hung up straight away.

Weirdly, this number called me earlier today and on my phone it appeared as 01480666835, yet on my BT call log it’s listed as 01269849918. Didn’t pick up, but looking at the comments here, seems like it’s the same lot that are way more persistent on the number my BT shows.

The caller never said who they were but kept asking for my name and where I lived. Just a heads up, be careful!

A lady rang me claiming to be from some "help to buy" scheme, said it was a place that does home improvements. I wondered how they had my number, maybe from the phone book? When I asked, she said it was in their database. I told her to take it off, and she was quite courteous about it.
