Talk about irony! Just got a call from Sam Cooper (yeah right, sounded like a really strong Asian accent) claiming to be from ‘your call blocking service’ asking if we’re still bothered by silent or spam calls. Well, duh… ‘YES, AND YOU’RE PART OF THE PROBLEM, SO BUZZ OFF.’ Instantly blocked the number.

01480463268 has called me thrice over the past couple of days. This morning at about 7.45am, they rang but there was no answer from their side, so I just ended the call. The day before, a woman on the line asked if I owned the property but messed up the initials of my name.

Got a call supposedly from the TPS checking up on unwanted calls. They wanted to confirm who pays the bills in the house, double checked the address they had, and then asked if my bank card for payments was close to expiry. I called them out straight away saying this was just another annoying call and they hung up.

Got a call early this morning, around 8.30, from some guy asking if I get loads of bad or scammy calls. The bloke sounded foreign and was a bit hard to follow, so I didn’t want to be cheeky and just ended up hanging up. Now I just let the phone ring out. Luckily, I’ve got an answer machine and am already on the TPS list. Still, it’s mad how these calls keep slipping through!

Got a ring from some bloke called Steve claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service. When I asked what he wanted, he just said "you can't" and then cut me off. Seems like he gave up pretty quick!

Got two calls from the same number within an hour. When I answered, no one was on the other end and after a few seconds it just hung up saying "goodbye". Pretty weird if you ask me.

Got a call on my landline from 01480-463258. The person said they were from the TPS and started talking about how I pay my phone bill with a debit card - which I don’t, by the way. Then they told me my card had run out and wanted the new card number and expiry date. As soon as I said I thought it was a scam, they just hung up on me.

Some bloke said he was from a call screening or management company and wanted me to pay £21.99 straight away. He was really pushy about it. I told him this service should be free. When I asked for an email to check the details, he refused unless I paid first! I just told him to jog on!

these lot keep ringing me up, saying they’re from some phone management company and want me to pay up for iti. i told them i’m registered with the telephone preference service which is free, so they really shouldn’t be calling me at all. i don’t wanna be rude but if they don’t stop calling, i might have to get a bit harsher.
