I have a small business and this number kept ringing me like 6 times just yesterday. When I picked up and said it was my business, they just hung up straight away. Today I tried answering with a plain "hello" and the person asked if I was by my name and if I lived at my address. It was an Asian guy calling himself Mark Robinson from Marks & Spencer. The moment I told him I’d been getting loads of calls from this same number yesterday, the line just went dead. So weird!

Got a call from this number not long ago. The person was pretty hard to understand and kept asking to verify my address. When I asked who they were with, they said Marks and Spencer, but when I wanted to know why they needed my info, they just couldn’t say. If this really was M&S, they seriously ought to do something about training their reps better.

Got a call from an Asian lady claiming she needed to update my info for Marks & Spencer. I told her I’m not interested and asked her not to ring me again, then she just ended the call. Every day at about the same time, a new number pops up. I let it ring about 5, sometimes 6 times, and if I do pick up, I just stay silent. I don’t get why big firms like Marks & Spencer or British Gas, who somehow seem linked to these irritating cold calls, don’t do more to put an end to it. There was about a 10 sec pause before this person with a heavy foreign accent rang me, asking for Mr something but actually said my wife's name instead. When he wanted me to confirm my address I just refused, saying no way, then he said he was checking details for Marks & Spencer or something like that. I just ended the call there.

My mum got a call outta nowhere about fixing her washing machine, which she never asked for, and it really freaked her out. We’ve now blocked the number through BT’s free blocking service - if you haven’t signed up for something like this yet, seriously, do it. Other phone companies might have similar options. I told her to ring the cops if anyone tries to show up, though I’m pretty sure it’s all just a scam.
