Couple days back got a call claiming it was from Amazon, saying there was an issue with my account. Didn’t fancy pressing 1 to talk to their so called account manager so I just logged into my Amazon account myself. Turns out my Prime subscription is good until next July, so pretty obvious it was a scam.

Got a recorded call saying it was from Amazon Prime. They told me my account would renew automatically for some amount of money, and if I wanted to stop it and chat with someone, I should press 1. Thing is, I don’t have Amazon Prime at all. Tried looking up a phone number for Amazon Prime to check, but no luck. Also, the number came from a code belonging to the Isle of Skye in Scotland, which seemed a bit odd. So yeah, not sure this call was legit.
