This morning around 8:50, I got a call from someone named John. I might have muttered to my husband that it was probably just another annoying call, and there was this awkward silence before John spoke. He claimed to be from BT and was ringing about my internet. I played along and said, “oh wow, that’s nice of you!” then he suddenly hung up.

Got a call from some bloke with an Indian accent, said he was from BT about my internet. Pretty sure he wasn’t actually from the Isle of Skye or anywhere near here.
