I got a call from a guy who sounded Indian or Pakistani, claiming he was from some internet support team. As soon as I mentioned I was a copper on duty, he just clammed up. Definitely a scammer.

Every morning I get calls from unknown numbers so I usually don't pick up. Today I checked by dialling 1471 and it showed this number was the one calling.

Some bloke rang saying he was from Virgin and that my internet box was acting up. He asked me to switch on my laptop straight away. I said hold on a mo, then dropped the phone on the table and pretended to fetch the laptop. Could hear him keep asking "Is it on now?" When I finally grabbed the phone again, I challenged him to give me my account info to prove he was legit. After that, he got all rude and kept pushing to just turn on the laptop. I ended the call there and then.
